Is this retreat a medical treatment?

No. The Healing Your Terrain Retreat is not a medical program and does not replace medical care.
All practices are educational, supportive, and complementary to conventional and integrative medical care. Participants are encouraged to remain under the care of their healthcare providers and to consult them before attending, especially if undergoing active treatment or managing chronic conditions.
Many participants choose to receive optional medical therapies at Mindstream Integrative Medicine both during the retreat and for a week or 2 following the retreat. These therapies include integrative oncology consultation, IV vitamin C therapy, ozone therapy, mistletoe therapy, or mental health support.

The Healing Your Terrain Retreat is a restorative, week-long immersion focused on metabolic repair, nervous system regulation, emotional release, and reconnection with nature. Hosted at Copper Beech Farm in Nashville, Tennessee, the retreat blends evidence-informed lifestyle practices with deeply supportive, nature-based healing experiences.
This retreat is designed to support the body’s innate healing capacity by improving the internal “terrain” through nutrition, movement, breathwork, forest bathing, sauna and cold plunge therapy, and more.

Yes—this retreat was intentionally designed with cancer patients and cancer thrivers in mind.
Practices are:

That said, each participant’s health status is unique. We recommend discussing attendance with your physician if you are currently in treatment, immunocompromised, or managing complex medical conditions. We are also happy to connect with your care team to answer any questions they might have.
Fasting is never required.

Participants may choose gentle overnight fasting, modified fasting, or full nourishment depending on their needs.

Rest is considered a core healing practice. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies and opt in or out of activities at any time.
Generally speaking, comfortable clothing for movement and rest, such as:
Walking shoes/outdoor footwear (this is on a farm, so plan for mud!) and indoor footwear
Swimwear (for sauna/cold plunge, if desired)
Journal
Personal supplements or medications
An open heart and a willingness to slow down
Copper Beech Farm is a peaceful 100-acre property surrounded by nature. Expect:

While emotional and reflective practices are included, all experiences are grounded, inclusive, and respectful of diverse beliefs. The focus is on mind-body coherence, nervous system safety, and physiological healing.

Rest is considered a core healing practice. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies and opt in or out of activities at any time.
Many participants attend specifically because they are fatigued or depleted. If you are actively managing more serious health concerns that require active nursing or frequent hospitalization, we would suggest waiting until things are stabilized.
